Biosafe is the trading title for Biohazard Safety Training Ltd.
We specialise in training courses related to discharged body fluids otherwise known as bio-hazardous waste. We offer four courses which cover differing aspects. The principal objective of each course is the same, namely, to minimise or eliminate the spread of infection from blood-borne pathogens in accord with current laws and regulations.
Our training centre, situated on Hythe Quay, Colchester, includes a spacious 22 seat auditorium and a work station facility for practical training. Both are air conditioned and designed to create a comfortable working environment.
Biosafe is fully equipped to offer a nationwide service for employer and employee training in biohazard awareness and incident management.
The training courses have been compiled from four main elements:
a) The basic principles under duty of care
b) Latest and foremost techniques used in the USA
c) UK Laws, regulations and guidelines governing healthcare workers and others
d) OSHA (as amended 2004)
The courses are designed to ensure legal requirements are satisfied and maximum protection against infection is maintained.
Meet the team
Michael Spencer
Michael Spencer is our General Manager and has fifteen years experience within the cleaning industry. He is certificated in biohazard waste cleaning by the British Institute of Cleaning Science and has qualified as a Bioengineer.
Ron Stone
Ron Stone is our Managing Director and has twenty years management experience within the high risk cleaning industry. He is also an experienced public speaker and teacher (over 20 years) having undergone the same training regime as Bill Sullivan.
Bill Sullivan
Bill Sullivan is our principal instructor and his training as a public speaker included the mastery of more than fifty disciplines. He has more than 30 years experience as a speaker and teacher.
